Add milk, water, and Whey Protein to your shaker and mix well.
Mix the contents of the shaker with the oatmeal and cinnamon in a small pot. Bring carefully to a boil. Stir occasionally until the porridge thickens. Garnish as desired with Fruit Jam, fruit, and nuts.
The secret is finding the right amount of fruit. More fruit = more sugar. We wanted to stay below 5% total sugar without sacrificing on taste. Without the addition of artificial flavors. And we did it!
Ready for a little science? Put on your lab goggles! Fruit spreads require a special acidity level (pH value) for the pectin, which gives the jam its consistency and smooth mouthfeel. We use citric acid for the acid and calcium citrate to stabilize the pH. It's not harmful to the body, just a practical helping hand for the product.
