Soy contains naturally occurring phytoestrogens. Contrary to popular belief, these are not hormones. They're phytochemicals that are similar in structure to estradiol, the natural female hormone estrogen. It has not been proven beyond doubt whether or not the consumption of soy has an impact on hormone levels. For our Protein Muesli and Protein Porridge, we’ve taken the preventative measure of naturally processing our soy flakes to remove nearly 90% of the phytoestrogens.
